This CD is dedicated to the women of my daughter's families. It takes its inspiration from the Celtic areas of Great Britain and explores the ancient monuments of Cornwall, Wales, Scotland, England and The Isle of Man. It is one Australian's attempt to discover the mystery, languages and history of the places that shaped those women and so in turn, my daughter.

The nucleus of Cotters Bequest has come from the Celtic fusion band "Lochrien" and they have continued to develop the melding of traditional Celtic instruments and modern electronic equipment to create an unique sound in Australian Celtic music. The band has added harp and military snares to the growing sound which includes fiddle, cello and accordion, low and tin whistles; uilleann and highland bagpipes; string quartet, bodhran and kalimba; all wrapped in rich layers of guitars, keyboards and haunting Cornish, Welsh and Manx Gaelic vocals.
